In this Online Learning Package, we want to take you through the complexity, interconnections, maze of meanings and different visions of what your network can become.

But, don't worry...you will not lose one hair along the way. You need to feel dedication, curiosity, or a need for understanding or... all of this at once.

In this course, we apply primarily the solutions-thinking approach. Each part addresses the issues concerning the needs and challenges but we aim to turn our attention to the constructive way of dealing with them. In this sense, in this course, you will:

Format

This is a self-paced course without active moderation. Once you enter each module, you will be able to see its parts. The course consists of blocks of knowledge and theory, as well as practical exercises and tools that can be used immediately after reading the content of the relevant chapters.

Time

Going through the course is not really about doing it as fast as possible and getting done with all the material. The aim is to have available all of the tools and materials in one place and go back to them whenever it is needed. It is recommended however to be able to dedicate some time for the preparations and diving into the theory if the tools will be applied in the network weaving or reviving processes. The activities with tools take up to two hours on average. Some might take even a few hours more, depending on the number of people, the complexity of the topic to be addressed or the stage of the network.

Don't worry if you don't have the full day to organise the group work! We tried to make the descriptions as easy as possible to enable you to profit fully from the material.

How is this course structured?

The course is made up of three main modules:

• Launching
• Thriving

The course is designed in such a way that you can easily move between topics, divided into dimensions related to the functioning of the ecovillage networks. These dimensions are:

• Diagnosis
• Strategy design
• Communication
• Structures
• Economies
• Decision-making and evaluation

Each of these parts is divided into more detailed issues, thanks to which it is possible to learn a given dimension in-depth. Moreover, each part is accompanied by tools for "training" yourself in each of the dimensions, in which you can involve your network development team, ecovillage members, or people just starting their network development activities.

At the beginning of the course, we give you an overview of the methods we used to develop this course and the scope of knowledge you can obtain.
